FAQ

City tour of Buenos Aires: what people ask us most.

How much does a private city tour of Buenos Aires with Taxifly cost?

It is priced by the hour, in US dollars at the day’s exchange rate, with a 3-hour minimum: executive sedan USD 30 per hour (3 hours = USD 90), Toyota Corolla Hybrid USD 40, Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 USD 60, Hyundai H1 USD 60, Toyota Hiace Commuter USD 75 and Toyota Hiace Wagon Luxury USD 90 per hour. The hours include the driving and the driver’s waiting time while you visit each place.

Is it private?

Yes. The car and the driver are just for your group for all the hours you book: it is not shared with other passengers and the route adapts to what you want to see. The boat rides through the Delta and the sailboat trips are private too.

Does the driver wait for me at each stop?

Yes, and it is included in the hours: the driver waits while you take photos, visit a museum, have lunch or go sailing. The planner on this page shows how much of the time is driving and how much is waiting.

How many hours should I book?

It depends on the places: the classic tour (Obelisk, Teatro Colón, Congress, Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo, Caminito and Puerto Madero) fits in about 4 hours. If you add museums, shopping, a lunch or the Delta, the planner calculates the duration with real street driving times, the time at each place and the pickup and return to your hotel, and suggests the hours.

Which places can I visit?

The city’s must-sees (Obelisk, Teatro Colón, Congress, Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo, Caminito, Puerto Madero, El Ateneo, Recoleta, the Floralis Genérica and the Palermo Woods), museums such as MALBA, the Fine Arts Museum, the Evita Museum or the Fortabat Collection, malls and outlets, the Boca, River, Racing and Independiente stadiums, historic cafés, parrillas and tango shows. Outside the city: San Isidro, Tigre and Puerto de Frutos, and private boat rides through the Delta or sailboat trips on the Río de la Plata.

Do you offer boat rides through the Delta and sailboat trips?

Yes, private ones: a boat with a skipper through the rivers of the Tigre Delta (1 to 3 hours) or a sailboat with a skipper on the Río de la Plata from San Isidro (2 to 3 hours). We arrange them together with the car; the boat or sailboat is quoted separately over WhatsApp and the driver waits for you while you are on the water.

Are the museums open every day?

No: MALBA is closed on Tuesdays; the Fine Arts Museum, the Evita Museum and the Fortabat Collection are closed on Mondays; the Decorative Art Museum and Fundación Proa are open Wednesday to Sunday. When you pick the date, the planner warns you if a place on your tour is closed that day or if you arrive before it opens.

Do you do shopping tours?

Yes. We take you to Galerías Pacífico, Patio Bullrich, Alto Palermo, Paseo Alcorta, Abasto, Palermo Soho, Distrito Arcos or DOT Baires, in the order you want, and the driver waits for you with your shopping in the car.

Can I visit La Bombonera and the Monumental on the same day?

Yes: in about 6 hours you can fit both stadiums with their museums, lunch in La Boca and a photo stop in Avellaneda, at the Racing and Independiente stadiums. Museum tickets are bought separately and hours change on match days.

Can I plan my own tour?

Yes. On this page you choose the places, the order, the departure time and how long you want to stay at each one; the planner calculates the duration, warns you about each place’s opening hours, suggests the hours and writes the WhatsApp message for you. During the tour you can also change the order or add a stop within the hours you booked.

Where do you pick me up?

At your hotel, house or apartment, and we drop you wherever you want at the end. The times on this page are calculated from a hotel downtown or in Retiro; if we pick you up in another neighborhood, we adjust them. You can also add the city tour to your transfer from Ezeiza or Aeroparque.

How many people can go?
